President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to embrace love, peace, and unity during the Christmas season, while expressing hope for the nation’s future. In his Christmas message, Tinubu described Christmas as a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness and the enduring strength of humanity’s shared faith.
The President acknowledged recent tragic incidents in Ibadan, Okija, and Abuja, and extended sympathies to families affected by floods, fires, or accidents. He encouraged Nigerians to find comfort in faith and the support of loved ones.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of kindness, stating that it transcends financial status. He also called for prayers and support for Nigeria’s troops and leaders working towards national development.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring Nigeria’s prosperity, assuring citizens of a bright future. “Nigeria is on a promising path of restoration and progress. Let us renew our hope and belief in a prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
To facilitate travel during the festive season, Tinubu announced that the government is providing free train services and subsidized road transport costs on 144 routes nationwide.
