Nigerian-British boxing champion Anthony Joshua paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence, presenting him with an autographed glove inscribed, “To the Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A Tinubu”.

Joshua, a two-time world heavyweight champion, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised the hospitality extended to him and his family. He described the energy in Nigeria as “10/10” and acknowledged the country’s potential for growth.

During the visit, Joshua revealed his ambitions for 2025, stating his goal to become a three-time world champion and face Tyson Fury in the ring. “My target is to become a three-time world champion and fight Tyson Fury in 2025,” he said.Joshua also reflected on his past setbacks, reaffirming his commitment to rising stronger. “Of course, I should have won past matches, but I didn’t. I can’t stop now; I have to keep going until I reach my destination”.

The boxing champion’s visit to Nigeria is seen as a gesture of goodwill, and his message to Nigerians in the diaspora was heartfelt. “To all Nigerians in the Diaspora, you have a place called home. It’s a beautiful place, and the energy here is unbelievable. I love you all with my heart”.
