Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to providing more democracy dividends to Nigerians.
Akume made this statement at the 50th birthday celebration of Dr. Mathias Byuan, Executive Director of Housing, Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority, in Benue State on Thursday.The SGF praised President Tinubu’s sustained support for Benue State, citing the dualization of the Makurdi-9th mile road as a notable example.
He encouraged the youths to be vigilant and protect their land from destruction. He also emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.
Akume commended Dr. Byuan for his political courage and dedication to the APC. He also called on the party chairman, Comrade Austin Agada, to welcome decampees and provide them with equal opportunities within the party.
Immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, described Akume as an undisputable leader of the state while appreciating President Tinubu for appointing notable Benue indigenes into key positions in his government.
