X, the microblogging platform owned by Elon Musk, has announced a significant price hike for its Premium+ subscription plan globally, with Nigerian users facing one of the steepest increases.
As of December 21, 2024, the Premium+ plan, which offers ad-free browsing and other exclusive features, will now cost Nigerian users N34,000 per month, representing a 51% increase from the previous price of N22,550.
However, Price Increases Vary by Country, The United States has $16 (up from $12, a 37.5% increase) European Union has €21 (up from €16)while Canada’s Prices vary depending on location and payment method.
According to X, the price adjustment will take effect for new subscribers immediately, while existing subscribers will be charged the new rate starting from their first billing cycle after January 20, 2025.
X noted that prices may vary depending on location, applicable taxes, and payment method fees. Users with questions or concerns are advised to contact X Premium support.
