Hilda Baci – World Record Holder
Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci receives confirmation of her record by Guinness World Record as the longest cooking marathon by an individual. This announcement was made on Guinness World Record official website. Baci expressed gratitude and excitement at the news, saying it was “the best news ever”.
Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total by Guinness World Record due to a miscalculation on Hilda’s part where she mistakenly took some extra minutes during one of her rest breaks. Hence, Baci is recognized as the new world record holder the longest cooking marathon by an individual, lasting 93 hours 11 minutes. She broke the previous record of 87 hours 45 minutes, held by Chef Lata Tondon from India in 2019.
Following the announcement, she was celebrated all over social media by her fans.
