As the APC national convention billed for Febraury is drawing closer, the race for Sen. Tanko Al-Makura to clinch the National Chairmanship position of the Party has received another boost as the forum of people with disabilities in the party pledged to support for him.


Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Gambo Dahiru, made pledge on Thursday when he led some physically challenged partys leaders on a visit to Al-Makura in Abuja. Al-Makura from Nasarawa State in North Central, is one of the National chairmanship aspirants of APC.
Dahiru said if Al-Makura could emerged as the partys National chairman, it would be a plus for people living with disabilities. According to him, it will encourage them to know that there is ability in disability.


For him, Al-Makuras achievements, as former Governor of Nasarawa State, had impacted much on the state education sector. His chairmanship today will bring progress to us tomorrow; therefore, there is need to support him, the forum chairman said.


While responding, Al-Makura assured them that he would never disappoint them if given the opportunity to become the national chairman of APC. He said that his chairmanship would be an all-inclusive administration, promising to run a party in which members would be rewarded for investing their time and resources.


I thank you for coming to support me. I assure you that my chairmanship would never bring negative remarks to you.


As a national chairman of our party, l will make sure that we maintain a winning stance, both at the Federal and State levels, Al-Makura said.
