A gas pipeline leakage along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has caused frantic in the air, especially for residents of Arepo, Magboro, as well as commuters and motorists who ply the road. The gas pipeline was reported to have ruptured near The Punch Newspaper building in the Arepo axis of the expressway. Witnesses noted that the gas leakage occurred during the ongoing construction of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Drivers who had been stuck in the gridlock owing to the leakage immediately reversed towards Ogun State. They also encouraged prospective commuters to return.
