The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, has commenced strike action.The oil workers were ordered to commence nationwide strike as a result of the disapproval between the oil workers and the government over the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

The letter which contained the order was signed on November 8, 2020 by Lumumba Okugbawa, the General Secretary.
The memo was given to all zones and states in the country.
