Joe Biden, the democratic party candidate at the United States Presidential Elections has emerged winner over the incumbent President Donald Trump. Joe Biden won key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, which President Trump relied upon to become elected in 2016, to become the 46th President of the United States.
Biden will assume office as the oldest President-Elect of the White House. He was the Vice President of President Barrack Obama for eight years
and has run for the office of the President of the United States three times. For running with Barrack Obama, Biden was also a senator representing Delaware from 1973 -2009.
Joe Biden has thanked Americans for honouring him with their votes. He noted that it is a great honour and privilege to ‘lead our
great country’. Biden tweeted that he will be the president of all Americans. He also assured them that he will not fail the faith reposed on him by the American people.
‘ The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be the President of all Americans–whether you voted for me or not.

Meanwhile, incumbent President Donald Trump had begun challenging the elections before it was concluded. He has alleged that there was voter fraud, mail-box overvoting, amongst other issues in several states. As the Democrats celebrate their victory, President Donald Trump rejected the election results and threatened to seek redress in court over what he described as ‘flaws’ in the Presidential election. He also noted that Biden is using his ‘media friends’ to pose as the President of the United States, while the elections remain contentious.
