The Nigeria Police Force in Lagos has arrested 229 suspected hoodlum in relation to the recent looting, assault, arson, murder, and malicious damage to a resident of the state before and after Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor imposed a curfew on the state in order to restore law and order.

According to a statement made by Mr. Kayode Oyekanmi, the Director, Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Justice noted in the statement that it had engaged relevant police formations ‘to evaluate files of those arrested by the police with a view to determining those that have prima facie made against them.’ He noted that after the evaluation, the hoodlums found culpable will be arraigned before a competent court of law.

It can be recalled that hoodlums began to take laws into their hands, burn down police stations, loot shops, warehouses, and burn down infrastructures and private properties.
