Residents have called on security operatives over the ongoing ethnic clash between the Hausa and the Yoruba community in Fagba, Iju-Ishaga, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area in Lagos.

Several houses are said to have been affected and some residents left injured.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, has confirmed the incident, and likewise appealled to the leaders of the community to intervene and maintain peace.

He stressed that the state’s police is under pressure and attacks

The PPRO in his statement said, ‘There is a curfew in town. Everybody should remain in their houses. Police is overstretched. It’s a collective struggle.’
