Anthony Joshua, a British-Nigerian heavyweight boxing champion, has expressed his total displeasure at the shooting of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, emphasising that, now is the time for change to happen in Nigeria.

The British-Nigerian boxing champion made his concerns known in a series of tweets after the incident.

However, in response to Femi Anikulapo-Kuti’s tweet, about being angry about the current state of things in Nigeria, the boxer, attaching a Nigerian flag to his tweet, said, ‘Change will happen! It’s time.’

The boxer, in utter dismay, marvelled at the reason behind the killing of Nigerians for demanding peace.

He tweeted by saying, ‘The situation has escalated, the violence and killings are horrendous. All because of people saying they want to live in peace?

‘I pray God opens the gates for the heroes of Nigeria! This was never a trend for me! It’s real life and I want to learn how to make lasting change.’
He further tweeted by saying, ‘I’m looking at hospitals to support, along with food and care packages in the time being.’
