The LBSL buses have begun to ply the roads after halting operations for 18 hours. The Lagos Buses Service Limited withdrew the buses to curtail vandalism as well to clear the air on the use of buses by thugs to disrupt the #EndSars protests.

This is following claims linked to the Lagos State Government concerning thugs who highlighted enmasse from the BRT buses to prevent protest at the Alausa area of the state. Although the Lagos State Government has come out to deny any links to them, mass protests have continued to rage across different parts of the state.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Affairs Unit of LBSL confirmed the news in the late hours of Friday. He said that ‘Lagos residents demand our services, they believe we have no connection with the viral video been circulated yesterday after the #EndSARS protest at Alausa.’

To further prove LBSL’s sincerity in the matter he said that ‘the buses were bought with the tax payers’ money and our passengers requested for our services when it was becoming difficult for them to get to their offices on time.’
