Students of Excel College, Ejigbo,Lagos, will continue to write the National Examination Council (NECO) examinations for Senior Secondary School (SSS3) and Junior Secondary students of Excel College, Ejigbo,despite the collapse of one of the school building. It has been confirmed that no lives were lost.
Lady Kehinde Oke, the principal of Excel College, Ejigbo, noted that despite the loss of infrastructure, the school was thankful that no lives was lost. She said that a comfortable and convenient facility have been put in place for JSS3 students who are meant to begin their examinations in two weeks, and SS3 students who are on the verge of completing their papers.
‘First, we are immensely grateful to almighty God that no life was lost. Much as it is natural to feel the pain of such a loss in infrastructure, we give glory to God because we lost no student, Staff or anybody at the end of the day.’
‘We are arranging facilities where the students will sit for the examinations, parents and students have nothing to fear. We shall inform relevant authorities of our plans and actions. The students are guaranteed the traditional quality environment for the examinations.’ Lady Oke said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, Governor of Lagos State has authorised the pulling down of the remnant structures of the collapsed school building.
